How to Publish Your Extension on Firefox Add-ons
Who’s there
Firefox users browsing the add-ons store.
You build
Your Chrome extension, with two manifest changes.
Read https://indiehustles.com/marketplaces/firefox-add-ons and look at our product and codebase. Is Firefox Add-ons a good opportunity for us? If it is, tell me what we'd build for it, the smallest version worth listing, and how much work it would take. Wait for my go-ahead before building.
Steps
- 1
Add a
browser_specific_settings.geckoblock to your manifest with anidanddata_collection_permissions. - 2
If you collect nothing, set
"required": ["none"]. - 3

- 4
Upload your zip and fix any validation errors.
- 5
If your code is bundled or minified, upload the source too, with build steps.
- 6
Fill in the listing and submit.
Good to know
- The data collection field is required for all new extensions.
- Reviewers must be able to rebuild your code exactly from the source you upload.
